Gao Ge is the incumbent professor of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as the PhD tutor, the chairman of China Aviation Research Institute (New Technology Research Institute), and the founder of Gao-Yong’s rational turbulence theory; he also served as director of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, China Aviation Society, China Aerodynamics Society, Chinese Society of Human Science, and the member of CPPCC National Committee (the 7th ~the 10th member). For a long-term base he has engaged in the teaching and science-researching jobs in the domain of hydrodynamics, engineering thermophysics, and cosmic evolution, and ever won the first Aviation Gold Award and the first Guanghua Outstanding Award. I loko o 1984, his design research findings on Dune-in-vortex flame stabilizer won the First Prize of National Invention, on which, Comrade Qian Xue-Sen, the meritorious scientist of Two Bombs and One Star, called it as the "Significant invention for the Chinese to win credits"; this invention has now been used in the variously military aviation motors here in China. In addition, he also made an important contribution in terms of the rotor wing helicopter (technology of jagged oblique tail margin), the design and research on flying saucers, and the tornado afterburner technology.
